DetailsRomance is the word for this 1920's style cloche!
Beautiful, high quality, cream-colored parasisal straw (It takes days for an experienced weaver to make one hat body and they are becoming collector's items) is light an airy - cool to wear. There was a time when we could get parasisal straw in white, but the art of bleaching to that degree has been lost in the last 10 years.
The hat body has been hand blocked with steam over a wooden hat form to achieve the shape. That shape is maintained with a head-size band and brim wire- a job requiring skill and patience
The trim on this beauty is white - not cream- and consists of a velvet rose, vintage baby's breath and French wired ribbon.
This hat fits a head size 22.5- 22.75. It can be adjusted with sizing tape for a slightly smaller head.
